One of my fondest memories of college is sitting in the back of a church at Boston College with my guitar teacher Eric Kniffin. It is accurate to say I use more of what he taught me on a daily basis than anyone else. Still one of my favorite memories was when i brought Sticky Fingers to class with plans to learn the chords to ‘Brown Sugar’ I believe. He thought this was unspeakably lame and taught me in about 45 seconds. He then proceeded to tell me a story about the first time he heard ‘Can’t You Hear Me Knocking’, and made me play along to the solo to this. It unlocked what electric guitar was for.
