Closing Time - Semisonic is one of those songs that I cannot defend on any other plain that it is deeply personal. It was the first song I learned on guitar, which most songs that the Chorus and Verse have identical chord structures, are ideal candidates. The best part about a song that is this deeply ingrained in your brain from a young age (15 in this case) is that it will stick with you in every moment no matter what. Also the video, the sentiment, it’s all so perfectly rock video, 1999, etc.
